Old Etonian Association Belt
We continue to strengthen our close connection with Eton College by introducing the Old Etonian Maasai beaded belt, with kind permission of the OEA.
The colours are extremely challenging and we are so pleased that our choice of Eton blue and black has been given the seal of approval.
This compliments our belts which we have created for The Old Etonian Rackets and Tennis Club, Eton Ramblers, The Old Etonian Golfing Society and Eton Vikings.
It is arguable that there is no more famous school in the world and I can personally vouch how fierce the competition is to secure a place there.
It was founded in 1440 by Henry VI as a sister institution to King’s College, Cambridge and has produced no less than 20 British Prime Ministers as well as Princes William and Harry.
It has a language all of its own – teachers are known as ‘beaks’ and classes are ‘divisions’, to name but 2 of hundreds of phrases invented by, or which are unique to, the school.
It is a little-known, and wonderful, fact that 1 in 5 of the boys at Eton receive financial support through a range of bursaries and scholarships.
We’re delighted to be able to offer this belt for sale and would welcome the opportunity to discuss it with Old Etonians.
The old school tie is not a tie at all. It’s a Manyatta belt.
