Queen's Own Yeomanry

The Queen's Own Yeomanry is one of the army reserve light armoured reconnaissance regiments and is paired with the Light Dragoons, having been initially formed in 1971.

The regiment is part of the 4th Infantry Brigade and Headquarters North East. It is part of the Royal Armoured Corps and has 4 squadrons.

In recent years, The Queen's Own Yeomanry has seen deployment in both Iraq and Afghanistan.

The belt has been designed on the stable belt which is also the same as the tactical recognition flash – horizontal lines of Prussian blue and cavalry gold.
