Queen's Dragoon Guards

£85

The Queen's Dragoon Guards is a cavalry regiment of the British Army and nicknamed The Welsh Cavalry.

The regiment is part of the Royal Armoured Corps and is paired with the Royal Yeomanry.

The Queen's Dragoon Guards was formed in 1959 by the amalgamation of the 1st King's Dragoon Guards and the 2nd Dragoon Guards (Queen's Bays).

The regiment has seen service in Lebanon, Bosnia, Iraq and Afghanistan.

The Colonel-in-chief is the Prince of Wales.

Uniquely for a cavalry regiment, the belt has been designed not on the regiment's stable belt but from the stripe running along the mess kit trousers.

Within the regiment, this has become more recognisable as the colours of the Queen’s Dragoon Guards and the belt is therefore in a horizontal style of navy, white and navy in equal sizes.

All of our belts are hand beaded in Kenya by the Maasai, using an average of 6000 beads.

We use the highest quality leather to ensure our belts are extremely long lasting and durable.

This belt is 1.5 inches wide.

The old Queen's Dragoon Guards tie is not a tie at all. It’s a Manyatta belt.

DELIVERY:

We believe in being totally honest with our customers. Like a bespoke suit or pair of shoes, outstanding craftsmanship takes time. When the order is placed, the mamas in Kenya start beading your belt, utilising their cultural and ancestral skills. Once this is complete, the belt is sent to us in the UK. For this reason, please allow 3-4 weeks for delivery. Trust us - it is utterly worth the wait!
