Old Shirburnian (Sherborne School)
Sherborne School is an independent boarding school for boys, located beside Sherborne Abbey in Sherborne, Dorset.
It was re-founded in 1550 by King Edward VI, making it one of the oldest schools in the United Kingdom. A School has been on the site since 705.
Sherborne School is one of only 5 remaining boys' only independent boarding schools in the country, with around 580 boys. That said, they work closely in partnership with Sherborne Girls School.
Sherborne's buildings and grounds have been used in many films including: The Imitation Game, Wolf Hall and Goodbye Mr Chips.
Notable Old Shirburnians include Alan Turing, Cecil Day-Lewis, Jeremy Irons, Hugh Bonneville, Charlie Cox and Chris Martin of Coldplay.
Our Old Shirburnian belts are hand beaded in Kenya by the Maasai, using an average of 6000 beads.
They use the highest quality leather to ensure they are extremely long lasting and durable.
This belt is 1.5 inches wide.
It has been designed on the Old Shirburnian town tie, predominantly navy blue with red and gold stripes.
The Old Shirburnian tie is not a tie at all. It’s a Manyatta belt.

DELIVERY:
We believe in being totally honest with our customers. Like a bespoke suit or pair of shoes, outstanding craftsmanship takes time. When the order is placed, the mamas in Kenya start beading your belt, utilising their cultural and ancestral skills. Once this is complete, the belt is sent to us in the UK. For this reason, please allow 3-4 weeks for delivery. Trust us - it is utterly worth the wait!
