Old Marlburian (Marlborough College)

£85

Old Marlburian is the name given to alumni of Marlborough College, an independent boarding school in Wiltshire.

It was founded in 1843 for the sons of Church of England clergy but is now co-educational.

The Good Schools rather interestingly described it as: ‘a famous, designer label, co-ed boarding school still riding high’.

Former pupils include Mark Phillips, the ex-husband of the Princess Royal, the Duchess of Cambridge, Simon Woodroffe, Chris de Burgh and the comedian Jack Whitehall.

The belt is based on the Old Marlburian tie of red, white and blue, in a vertical style.

All of our Marlborough College belts are hand beaded in Kenya by the Maasai, using an average of 6000 beads.

We use the highest quality leather to ensure our belts are extremely long lasting and durable.

This belt is 1.5 inches wide.

The old Marlborough College tie is not a tie at all. It’s a Manyatta belt

DELIVERY:

We believe in being totally honest with our customers. Like a bespoke suit or pair of shoes, outstanding craftsmanship takes time. When the order is placed, the mamas in Kenya start beading your belt, utilising their cultural and ancestral skills. Once this is complete, the belt is sent to us in the UK. For this reason, please allow 3-4 weeks for delivery. Trust us - it is utterly worth the wait!
