9th/12th Royal Lancers
Made for the 9th/12th Royal Lancers.
The 9th/12th Royal Lancers was a cavalry regiment of the British Army, formed in 1960 by the amalgamation of the 9th Queen's Royal Lancers and the 12th Royal Lancers, at Tidworth Garrison Church.
The 9th/12th Royal Lancers has seen active service in Northern Ireland, Cyprus, Bosnia, Iraq and Afghanistan.
The regiment also carries the battle honours awarded to its predecessors, including: Waterloo, Sevastopol, The Relief of Kimberley, Ypres, The Somme, El Alamein , NW Europe 1940 and Italy 1944-5.
The belt has been designed with the help of a former officer of the 9th/12th Royal Lancers and who is now with The Royal Lancers.
It is in a vertical design of equally sized red and gold stripes.
All of our belts are hand beaded in Kenya by the Maasai, using an average of 6000 beads.
We use the highest quality leather to ensure our belts are extremely long lasting and durable.
This belt is 1.5 inches wide.
The old 9th/12th Royal Lancers tie is not a tie at all. It’s a Manyatta belt.

DELIVERY:
We believe in being totally honest with our customers. Like a bespoke suit or pair of shoes, outstanding craftsmanship takes time. When the order is placed, the mamas in Kenya start beading your belt, utilising their cultural and ancestral skills. Once this is complete, the belt is sent to us in the UK. For this reason, please allow 3-4 weeks for delivery. Trust us - it is utterly worth the wait!
