Scottish road trip (final part)

40 minutes after leaving Edinburgh and I was in the Lothian coastal town of Gullane, home to the world famous, Muirfield.

My thanks go to Joanna Tait, the merchandising manager, for agreeing to meet me and discuss the proposed belt. The belt deserves a blog of its own, coming up.......

I cannot pretend to have enjoyed the long drive home for a variety of reasons, but pride of place has to go to the A1 - not the most pleasant road I have ever travelled on, despite the sometimes glorious Northumberland and Dales scenery.

Nonetheless, a quick but hugely worthwhile and enjoyable trip  - my thanks to all those I was lucky enough to meet for their generosity and hospitality.
