John Umberger

This is a tricky post to write and I have hesitated before putting fingers to the keyboard.

John was a delightful man who contacted us out of the blue as he wanted to design a belt for his alma mater, Christ School in North Carolina, United States.

We were in regular contact and 2 different designs (one of his and one other) were bought by Christ School and are now in their store, ready to be sold to current students and alumni.

He was also instrumental in designing our Woodberry Forest belt with a friend of his who attended Woodberry.

I am honoured to accept an invitation to a memorial gathering in his honour, in September, in Washington DC. 

Thank you, John, for your help, generosity and highly enjoyable conversations. You never asked for anything.

Judging by his deserved popularity, the gathering will need overflow space.
